A gripping novel from Tanzania
English translation of Bjørn-Erik Hanssen’s exciting novel from Iraqw society in Tanzania.

The Norwegian family goes to Tanzania to work for the Norwegian Peace Corps. They shall assist in developing a secondary school in the Northern part of the country, among the Iraqw people.
Already the first night in the village frightening and dramatic events take place.
The family members are involved in conflicts which consequenses they are totally unable to comprehend.
"The Leopard Man" is an exciting and beautiful novel that takes the reader deep into a mythical, African reality.

The author:
Bjørn-Erik Hanssen (b. 1952) lives in Trondheim, Norway and “The Leopard Man” is his 9th book.
The book summarises the author’s work with material from Tanzania from the beginning of the 90s when he worked together with his family for two years for the Norwegian Peace Corps.
Bjørn-Erik Hanssen has visited Tanzania regularly since and is also working as a manager for the theatre company Tumaini Group from Mbulu in Northern Tanzania.
The writings of Bjørn-Erik Hanssen, which also include film-manuscripts and plays, are coloured by his consciousness and civic involvement.
Several of his books for children and youth have been translated into Danish and German, and two of them have been filmatised.
